There’s a particular quality to winter mornings here that I’ve never quite found words for. The way light filters through frost-touched windows, casting everything in a soft, golden glow.

Daisy took her first real steps today. Not the wobbly almost-steps we’ve been celebrating, but actual, deliberate, look-at-me-go steps.

Note to self: Remember this feeling. The way time seems to stop and rush forward all at once.

She stood up from her play mat, looked right at me with those bright eyes, and just… walked. Four steps, maybe five, before plopping down with a surprised giggle.
